Our purpose
Our purpose is to wake humanity up from the dream of separation from our Creator, from each other, and the planet we dwell on. There are many amongst us that are observing that there must be a ‘better way’. A better way of waking up to our true Divine Nature, living our lives, managing our relationships, coexisting with our countrymen, and resolving issues amongst nations. When one comes to the conclusion that the paths that we have been treading are inadequate and that they are leading us in circles, we begin to emerge from our attachment to solutions that simply address symptoms and never get to the underlying cause of our unhappiness and frustration. It is for those who are beginning to wake up that this website has been created. A Course in Miracles has been given to us, essentially, to show us this ‘better way.’ The purpose of this website is to inspire you, my brothers and sisters, to read, study, and practice A Course in Miracles (the Course). Thereby, to help you wake up from the dream of embodiment, separation, and the constraining programming that keeps us in the dark.
What This Site Offers
This website is no way an alternative to reading, studying, and practicing A Course in Miracles. The more we share the ideas, principles, and teachings of the Course, the stronger they become in our minds. This planet Earth does provide us with a wonderful context from which to choose our divine nature from our ego/body fixation. However, we must learn about the dynamics of the ego, so we can choose wisely. As the Course reveals to us, “We do not leave this planet by death but by knowing the Truth.” We will each experience a moment when we transition from this ego/body illusion and, at that moment, we will know this world is a dream. Some will experience this moment even before we make that transition.
Understanding ACIM Terminology
The Course uses expressions like God, the Holy Spirit, and Christ. When you read through ACIM, you will come to understand that these terms are very different from those used in our old thought system. Furthermore, ‘the miracle’ as defined in The Course is understanding who you really are and being willing to align your desires, passions, wishes – your will – with the Will of your Creator. It is also seeing that the essence of your brothers and sisters is exactly the same as yours and your Creator’s. This alignment is what the Course refers to as Atonement [AT ONE MENT]. The Course’s description of miracles is not referring to walking on water, turning water into wine, and raising the dead. It is essentially the treating of others as you would like to be treated and practicing forgiveness as taught by the Course that brings you to the awareness of Oneness. Yes, following the Golden Rule and practicing true forgiveness.
The Dual and Non-Dual Perception
As we focus on the principles of the Course, we will learn to distinguish between the dual and the non-dual perception of the universe – this is essential in aligning with The Law of One. We will also learn that the key practice is manifesting forgiveness as taught herein – seeing illusions as illusions and letting go of vengeance. Duality representing separation and illusions; non-duality representing the Oneness of all. This understanding – this Knowing - is what the Indian Advaita Vedanta taught thousands of years ago.
Content Overview
There will be 31 Training Lessons in this website, one for each of the Chapters in ACIM, plus a number of blogs and podcasts focused on simplifying the messages of this Course.
T-26.III.5. “…who can make a choice between the wish for Heaven and the wish for hell unless he recognizes that they are not the same? This difference is the learning goal this course has set. It will not go beyond this aim. Its only purpose is to teach what is the same and what is different, leaving room to make the only choice that can be made.”
The Law of One Conversation
From the level of duality:
Throughout our lives, we have been programmed, intentionally and/or unwittingly by our ancestors, our religions, our governments, our educational systems and the corporate sector to focus on our physical form, our individuality, and our specialness. This emphasis on our separateness encourages a culture of fear and deficiency that begs for protection and inexhaustible fulfillment. The time has come for us to align with The Law of One.
From the level of non-duality:
“However, from a more metaphysical level A Course in Miracles is quite emphatic that Heaven is the only reality and Christ, our ‘only real relationship’ is with God (T-15. VIII 6:6). This relationship is of total Oneness, with no differentiation between Creator and Created, Cause and Effect, God and Christ. As Jesus teaches about Heaven in the Course: ‘Heaven is not a place or a condition. It is merely an awareness of perfect Oneness, and the knowledge that there is nothing else; nothing outside this Oneness, and nothing else within.” The Message of A Course in Miracle.
The Essential Connection
The objective of A Course in Miracles is referred to as Atonement [At One Ment], i.e., remembering our true divine nature, our connection with our Creator, and with our brothers and sisters.
