Section 22. How are Healing and Atonement related?

a) “Healing and Atonement are not related; they are identical. ²There is no order of difficulty in miracles because there are no degrees of Atonement. ³It is the one complete concept possible in this world, because it is the source of a wholly unified perception. ⁴Partial Atonement is a meaningless idea, just as special areas of hell in Heaven are inconceivable. ⁵Accept Atonement and you are healed. ⁶Atonement is the Word of God. ⁷Accept His Word and what remains to make sickness possible? ⁸Accept His Word and every miracle has been accomplished. ⁹To forgive, is to heal. ¹⁰The teacher of God has taken accepting the Atonement for himself as his only function. ¹¹What is there, then, he cannot heal? ¹²What miracle can be withheld from him?” (ACIM, M-22.1:1-12)

b) “The offer of Atonement is universal. ²It is equally applicable to all individuals in all circumstances. ³And, in it is the power to heal all individuals of all forms of sickness. ⁴Not to believe this is to be unfair to God, and thus unfaithful to Him. ⁵A sick person perceives himself as separate from God. ⁶Would you see him as separate from you? ⁷It is your task to heal the sense of separation that has made him sick. ⁸It is your function to recognize for him that what he believes about himself is not the truth. ⁹It is your forgiveness that must show him this. ¹⁰Healing is very simple. ¹¹Atonement is received and offered. ¹²Having been received, it must be accepted. ¹³It is in the receiving, then, that healing lies. ¹⁴All else must follow from this single purpose.” (ACIM, M-22.6:1-14)

In this context is the Course referring to the metaphysical concept of healing with regard to separation vs. oneness or physical healing as well? Keeping within the context of other teachings in this Manual for Teachers, it appears that all types of healing are being referred to as ‘there is no order of difficulties.’ So, let it be.
