a) Yes & No: there are many references in the Course that refer to our returning to this World until we wake up. For example, we do not leave this World by death but by knowing the truth.
b) On the other hand, from the perspective of eternity, this World is an illusion, and we never left our Divine Source and what we are referring to as reincarnations are simply repetitive dreams.
c) “The idea cannot, therefore, be regarded as essential to the curriculum. ⁷There is always some risk in seeing the present in terms of the past. ⁸There is always some good in any thought which strengthens the idea that life and the body are not the same.” (ACIM, M-24.2:6-8)
d) “Atonement might be equated with total escape from the past and total lack of interest in the future. ⁴Heaven is here. ⁵There is nowhere else. ⁶Heaven is now. ⁷There is no other time. ⁸No teaching that does not lead to this is of concern to God’s teachers. ⁹All beliefs will point to this if properly interpreted. ¹⁰In this sense, it can be said that their truth lies in their usefulness. ¹¹All beliefs that lead to progress should be honored. ¹²This is the sole criterion this Course requires. ¹³No more than this is necessary.” (ACIM, M-24.6:3-13)
e) “His Word has promised peace. ⁵It has also promised that there is no death, that resurrection must occur, and that rebirth is man’s inheritance.”(ACIM, M-11.1:4-5 (Is this a sign of reincarnation or what?)
“Such is each life; a seeming interval from birth to death and on to life again, a repetition of an instant gone by long ago that cannot be relived. And all of time is but the mad belief that what is over is still here and now.” (ACIM,T-26.V.13)
On the one hand, there is a logical perspective that when one gives up this body, one does not go to eternal heaven or hell, but that his essence returns to this planet to provide him another opportunity to evolve to higher states of consciousness and to accept the results of his previous life experience – his karma. On the other hand, if this life experience is actually a dream, are not past and future life experiences also just a dream? Thus, why should we focus too much energy on this subject? Let us simply take advantage of this experience, here and now, to express our willingness to reconnect with our Divine Source and with all our brothers and sisters.
